Privacy
Unmask is a reflection companion. People write personal things to it, and we take that seriously. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do not do.
What we collect
- Your messages to Unmask and Unmask replies to you
- Basic metadata needed to run the service, such as your Telegram user id and timestamps
- If you join the updates list, your email and timezone
Why we collect it
- To send you the daily question and respond to what you wrote
- To keep continuity over time, so Unmask can reflect patterns in a gentle way
- To improve reliability and safety of the product
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data
- We do not run ads based on what you write
- We do not publish your content
Third party services
Unmask relies on third party infrastructure to operate. That can include hosting providers, databases, and AI providers. We use these services only to deliver the product.
Data retention
We keep your messages for as long as your account is active, because the product depends on continuity.
If you want your data deleted, email hello@unmask.chat from the address linked to your account,
or include your Telegram username.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your data. No system is perfect, but we design Unmask to be private by default.
